Christ-Stéphane Boizi 6tet - 9th August 2025, SpArC Theatre Bishop's Castle

£23.00

Doors at 19:15, start at 20:00

The fourth instalment in the Clun Valley Jazz/Tomorrow’s Warriors series welcomes the Christ-Stéphane Boizi Sextet to Bishop’s Castle

Trombonist Christ-Stéphane Boizi studies at the Trinity Laban Conservatoire of Music and Dance in Greenwich, and as a part of the Tomorrow’s Warriors collective, he has graced venues like Ronnie Scott’s and festivals such as We Out Here with his inventive, electric sound.

Art Blakey and the Jazz Messengers are a key source of inspiration for Boizi, and he blends this with hard bop and Gospel ingredients to form the compositions you’ll hear on the night. It’s a real treat when we’re able to welcome a band this size to the SpArC Theatre. Don’t miss it.

Aside from Boizi, the band features Sacha Harlan (drums), Lauren Marie Breen (alto saxophone), Jacob Wilson (tenor saxophone), Tom Sheen (double bass) and Kezia Buoma (piano).
