Join us in Bishop’s Castle for another incredible act from London youth jazz collective Tomorrow’s Warriors - the Allexa Nava Quartet.
Allexa is a saxophonist, flautist and composer from Peru, and has performed with numerous players in the Tomorrow’s Warriors collective, as well as playing the legendary Texan festival South-by-Southest (SXSW) with the all-female group Collectiva. Here in the UK, she has played Ronnie Scott’s, Jazz in the Round, Wilderness Festival and Glastonbury.
She’ll be playing her own compositions, sourced from an eclectic mix of material that she’s released over the past few years, exploring soundscapes drawing from classic and contemporary jazz alike. To get a sneak peek, check out her debut EP, No Language, which came out earlier this year.
Allexa will be joined by Emile Hinton (piano), Matt May (bass) and Cassius Cobston (drums).
